Post 218's fireworks display is completely funded by donations. Last year fireworks doubled in price for the same show, going from about $15,000 to $30,000. Many people don't realize that Post 218 sponsors the fireworks.
If you would like to help, please send donations to American Legion Post 218, Attn. Star Spangled 4th Committee, 1007 E. Third Street, Washington, MO 63090. Checks should be written to American Legion Post 218.
