Here’s how the Queen of Heart works:
Rules Subject to Change
A game board of 54 cards will be displayed with the backs turned to the room. The Queen of Hearts is the jackpot card. Choose a card number and write that number, your first and last names, and your phone number on your ticket. No group tickets will be sold. Do not use abbreviations or nicknames on your ticket.
When a ticket is drawn, the number written on it determines the card number to be opened. If the card drawn is the Queen of Hearts, the winner, if present, receives the jackpot. If not present, the winner receives 40 percent of the jackpot. The remainder will go back into the pot. If a Joker card is drawn, winner receives $50. If an ace or a face card is drawn, the winner receives $20. For all other cards, the person will receive 12 free tickets for the next week’s drawing. The pot will grow each week as long as no Queen of Hearts is drawn.
If you are not present and your ticket is drawn, you will be contacted within 48 hours.
After a card is selected, it is removed from play. After each week’s drawing, all tickets will be destroyed. To remain in play, you must purchase new tickets each week. Rules are subject to change.
All players are responsible for taxes. Winners of prizes over $1,199 will receive a tax form.
The Legion is using manufactured Queen of Hearts prize boards, which contains the same cards as a standard 54 card deck. The prize board contains random card patterns to ensure fairness for each game. Board is identical to one in photograph at top and bottom, except for card location, of this page.
